- 1"Choose photos"

Formula
One page per image, scaled to fit inside the page margins
- A4
- 210 × 297 mm, the standard document size in India
- scale
- the image is enlarged or reduced to fill the space inside the margins without cropping
- 300 DPI
- the maximum resolution kept (2480 px on the long side), sharp enough for print
Margins of 10 mm look like a typical scanned document; use no margin for edge-to-edge images.
Worked example
A student photographs four pages of a handwritten assignment and needs to upload one PDF.
- Images4 phone photos, one rotated to fix it
- SettingsA4, Auto orientation, 10 mm margin
- Output4 A4 pages
A single 4-page A4 PDF with each page upright and centred, ready to submit.
Make a clean PDF from phone photos
Forms often want documents as a PDF, but most of us only have photos of them. This tool places each photo on its own page, centred and scaled to fit, so a set of photos becomes a tidy document you can upload or email.
Photos are automatically turned the right way up using the orientation saved by your camera, and very large photos are scaled to A4 at 300 DPI, which keeps them sharp while keeping the file a sensible size.
Choosing page size and orientation
A4 is the standard in India and most of the world, and is what printers and government portals expect. US Letter is for documents going to the United States or Canada. Same as image makes each page exactly the size of its photo, which suits screenshots and posters.
Auto orientation turns each page to match its image, so wide photos get landscape pages and tall ones get portrait pages.
Things to keep in mind
- Images are converted in your browser and never uploaded to CALQEVA.
- iPhone HEIC photos only open in Safari. In other browsers, share them as JPG first.
- Need a smaller file? Run the photos through the Image Resizer before converting.
